How to create a craft trade in the Stuttgart area?
It is not easy to fulfill all the necessary formalities for the creation of a business, especially when these formalities are completely unknown. It is therefore particularly difficult to set up a business in a foreign country. We are what the European services directive calls a "point of single contact": We help everyone willing to establish a craft trade in the Stuttgart area. Everyone, whether they originate from the Federal Republic of Germany or from another state within the European Union, or from Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway.
We act as an intermediate between the entrepreneur and the public authorities. As a competent coordinator, we care for a quick, in due time and unbureaucratic procedure finalisation. Free of charge, by the way. However, fees can be due to certain authorities which we have to contact (for example, fees for the registration of a business).
What is the "Point of Single Contact" exactly providing?
As a point of single contact, we provide following services for entrepreneurs: All administrative formalities concerning the creation and practice of a craft activity, like for example registering/modifying/cancelling at the Chamber of Crafts, registering, changing or cancelling of a trade, making the necessary notifications for transboundary services. Still, there is a constraint: as a point of single contact, we only offer support for business activity purposes. We do not process formalities ranging over personal fields, like renewing personal IDs or applying for a driver’s license.
